Method:3

Let us learn arranging the given series of numbers 5,1,3 in ascending order. i.e. from least to greatest.

Step 1:

Write down the given numbers.

Step 2:

The first smallest number is 1. So, 1 comes first in the order.

Step 3:

The next number is 2. But, it is not present in the given series 5, 1, 3. So, omit "2"

Step 4:

3 is the next largest number, and it is present in the given order 5, 1, 3. So, include "3".

Step 5:

The next largest number is 4, and it is not present in the given order 5, 1, 3. So, omit "4".

Step 6:

5 is the next largest number and "5" is present in the given order 5, 1, 3. So, include "5".

i.e.
