Subject for Kids / Children

  • Subject and predicate are the 2 basic clauses in grammar.
  • Generally, it will be the first element of a sentence.
  • It will be either a noun, noun phase or pronoun.

Dear Kids, let us learn what is a subject with few examples here.


Examples:

1) Noun as a subject:

Tingu is studying English.

Subject

In the above example "Tingu" is a subject, which is a Noun.


2) Noun Pharse as a subject:

Your home looks very beautiful.

In the above example "Your home" is a subject, which is a Noun Pharse.


3) Pronoun as a subject:

She is eating.

Subject

In the above example "She" is a subject, which is a pronoun.


4) Subject in questions:

   Have   you completed your homework?

5) Subject in Commands/Request:

Prabhu, Come here.
